In
the early seventies, two brothers from Oxnard, CA conceived and
developed a radical new multi-fin short board design. Dubbed the
bonzer, which is Australian slang for ‘flipping
sweet,’ the brothers’ boards inspired a
new breed of surfers, a new type of surfing, and an array of new
board designs. For a more detailed discussion of bonzer history,
slide on over to

and learn about the Cambells.
First
paragraph and name notwithstanding, the instant board bears little
semblance to a true bonzer. However, we at hohar believe it is
always appropriate to give a nod to one’s roots and inspiration.
Further, certain design and fin-configuration features discussed
herein draw heavily upon the Cambells' ideas as well as other
ideas which their efforts ultimately inspired.
Additionally,
Gromzer was custom shaped and designed for Brian Hill of Surf
City, North Carolina, USA, who is, aptly, a grom. Brian is a local
mini-shreddah who hohar believes is heading places. Brian was
instructed to ride this board soulfully and generously, in keeping
with the spirit of the project. If anyone out there observes Brian
dropping in on his fellow surfer on Gromzer or generally behaving
in an un-soulful fashion, please contact me. Credible and confirmed
reports will result in confiscation of Gromzer by hohar Black
Ops (you wish the preceding words had a link associated with them,
right? well, a public document describing hohar black ops
would not be very
black
operative of us; now, would it?). Brian,
be mindful of the ultra high tech tracking devices installed on
all hohar laboratories products!
