While
reading a certain recently
sensationalized pop novel, Hunter was introduced to the
mathematical concept of the golden
ratio, which is represented by the greek letter,
("phi": 1.618033989). Intrigued, Hunter conducted
some internet based research on the phenomenon and concluded that
might have
some interesting implications for surfcraft design. At the point
this hypothesis materialized, he had created on the order of 5 or
6 planshape templates for various surfboards using dimensions that
were largely arbitrary or correlated to dimensions with which he
had prior experience. However,
seemed to present an opportunity for him create some dimensions
with a consistent relationship to one another. In the spirit of
biometric engineering, Hunter decided to create a board with its
longitudinal dimension exactly equal to his height, 183 cm. All
other features of the board- swallow depth, wide point placement,
thickness, width, etc. utilize measurements equal to
-derivatives
of 183 cm. Therefore, the length of El Cazador will be the only
dimension provided by hohar laboratories. All other board dimensions
may be interpolated; given the presence of the appropriate mental
capacity, of course. (Note: The excessive mental capacity
abundant at hohar laboratories is not currently a product that is
offered to the general population. Our best suggestion for
those interested in attaining such capacity would be to promptly
become disinterested for repeated
failure
to achieve is unhealthy.) Other features of interest
include an extremely thin foil, a concave deck, a twinzer fin configuration
and an aggressive tinted epoxy glass job. On a somber note, El Cazador
represents the last Clark
Foam blank that will likely ever be incorporated into
a hohar laboratories product.
