Such tail rocker falls within common short board tolerances but is extreme
for a small wave design such as Sans. This design feature is somewhat
inconsistent with the predominately speed-and-release oriented design
elements incorporated into the board. This increased tail rocker is
simultaneously a drag and control feature, creating a board which prefers
to sit further back in the pocket when surfed off the tail. Accordingly,
open face projection requires front foot drive off of the forward speed
zone. Future iterations of the Sans design will likely incorporate less
overall tail rocker. Again, the furnished tail rocker spec tells one
little or nothing in isolation. Please refer to figure 3 for a more
